The general council of the International Refugee Organization decided today to prolong the life of the organization after the closing date originally scheduled for June of next year. Under the decision, the I.R.O. will be given from six to nine months to resettle an additional 100,000 displaced persons. It is expected that an additional $55,000,000 will be needed to resettle these DP’s.
