Chairman E. E. Cox of a House committee to investigate tax-exempt foundations, including those seeking to improve race relations, said today that he would begin his probe between mid-September and the first of October. He said his committee would seek evidence of “un-American or subversive activities”, and will report to Congress on its investigation by Jan. 1, 1953.
