A nation-wide peace crusade, in which Catholic and Jewish support would be “heartily welcomed,” is being launched by the Executive Committee of the Federal Council of Churches, it was announced yesterday.
The plan adopted by the Federal Council calls for the holding of local conferences on the churches and world peace during October, November and December. The department of good-will of the Council will cooperate with state and city councils of churches and ministeral associations in arranging for these gatherings.
A national conference on Churches and World Peace will be held in Dayton, Ohio, December 6 and 7, in conjunction with the 1934 biennial meeting of the Federal Council of Churches.
