Iran called Britain’s new ambassador to Tehran a Jewish spy. According to the Israeli daily Ha’aretz, Britain threatened to downgrade its diplomatic ties if Iran refuses to accept David Reddaway as the new British envoy. British diplomatic sources were unable to confirm whether Reddaway is Jewish, but they said his experience as a diplomat makes him eminently qualified for the posting.
