Iran’s test over the weekend of a medium-range missile capable of reaching Israel is a “serious threat to the region and to U.S. nonproliferation interests,” the State Department said. Spokesman Philip Reeker said the United States has tried for years to stop the transfer of missile technology and equipment to Iran.
