A joint Iraqi-Jordan committee writing a new constitution for the newly merged state has decided to include a clause forbidding all trade with Israel, it was reported here today from Amman.
The report added that the drafting committee was deciding whether to offer a reward to anyone who informed of the existence in the State of Israel or other blacklisted articles.
The Jordanian press reports that the King of Jordan has made it clear that the merger with Iraq will in no way affect his intentions to fight for the “liberation of Palestine. At the same time, the Cairo Radio indicated that Col. Nasser intends to declare the Gaza area an integral part of the United Arab Republic.
