To the Editor, Jewish Daily Bulletin:
It is about time that the disgraceful Kashruth situation be remedied. The quarrels and bicking to which we have been treated in the past few weeks, culminating in the “issur” of the rabbis are nothing short of disgusting.
It is about time that some responsible central Jewish organization took a hand in this ugly row, which is bringing the name of the Jewish people into disrepute.
Hardly a day goes by that the columns of the daily press are not filled with the recriminations and fulminations of both sides. After all Kashruth is a matter that can easily be decided by reference to Jewish laws which have been in existence for countless generations. Then why the nasty squabble which is disgracing the Jewish community?
End this bickering once and for all.
