The Jewish population in the Free State of Ireland finds itself in a predicament similar to that recently experienced by the Jewish population in the state of New Jersey.

The thousands of Jewish voters, citizens of the Free State, will not be able to participate in the general election which was set for June 6, coinciding with the first day of Shavuoth. Representations were made with a view to having the date changed.
