Professor Ion Zelea Codreanu, father of Deputy Zelea Codreanu, the leader of the antisemitic Iron Guard organisation, which was recently suppressed by the Government after the anti-Jewish excesses in Jassy, has been returned to Parliament in the by-election at Tutova, polling 5,200 votes against 4,344 obtained by the Liberal candidate.
