Irving Norry, of Rochester, N.Y., has been named chairman for the United States of the International Advisory Council of the World Jewish Congress, it was announced here today. The Council, consisting of key Jewish leaders throughout the entire world, is the consultative body of the WJC on all international matters of concern to Jewry.
The announcement of Mr. Norry’s appointment was made by Dr. Nahum Goldmann, president of the World Jewish Congress, and Mr. Samuel Bronfman, chairman of the North American Division. Mr. Norry is a member of the nationwide Cabinet of the United Jewish Appeal and member of the Board of Governors of the Israel bond campaign.
