Isaac Wolfson, chairman of Great Universal Stores, Ltd., of England, has presented 100,000 pounds ($280,000) to the Weizmann Institute of Science at Rehovet, Israel, it was announced last night by Dewey D. Stone, chairman of the board of the American Committee for the Institute.
Mr. Wolfson, who spent four weeks in the United States, suggested that a portion of the gift be used for the Institute’s cancer research program. He is chairman of the Weizmann Institute Committee in England.
