Israel and Canada have signed an agreement to cooperate in scientific research, particularly in the field of geology, Yosef Bartov, Director General of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, announced last week.
The signatories were the heads of the Ministry’s geological survey and Canada’s geological survey. Scientists from the two countries will conduct joint research projects, advanced study programs, symposia and conferences.
The agreement includes basic research in drilling for oil, study of earthquake risks and other geological phenomena, and geological mapping methods.
