Israel and the Palestinian Authority could declare an end to four years of fighting at next Tuesday’s summit in Egypt. “I hope that there will be an official declaration of an armistice, on the cessation of all acts of violence,” Israeli Vice Premier Shimon Peres told Army Radio on Thursday, referring to the upcoming meeting in Sharm el-Sheik between Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
