The establishment of a National Hospitalization Authority, providing a four-year hospital expansion program at a cost of 60,000,000 Israeli pounds ($20,000,000), was announced here today by Yitzhak Rafael, Deputy Minister of Health. There are now 16,000 hospital beds in Israel, Mr. Rafael said, representing a ratio of 7.2 beds per 1,000 population in this country.
