Brig. Moshe Dayan, Chief of Staff of the Israel Army, arrived in Paris last night on the first Leg of an “unofficial” journey to various European capitals. In keeping with the private nature of his visit here, he will not be officially received at the Quai d’Orsay, but will pay a personal courtesy visit to the French Chief of Staff and possibly to officials of the Ministry of Defense. It is understood that Brig. Dayan’s mission is to draw to the attention of the various governments the need to reestablish equilibrium in the Middle East by supplying arms to Israel to offset Communist arms shipments to Egypt.
