The Israel Army of Defense is now preparing for new large-scale maneuvers to be held in the near future, Brig. Yigal Yadin, its Chief of Staff, disclosed today. Addressing a passing-out parade of graduates of the Army’ officers training course, Brig. Yadin told the newly-commissioned officers that the Army faced a number of important peace-time tasks including training for land settlement, patrol of the frontiers and prevention of marauding. The Army chief praised the high standard reached by the graduates.
