Special plans for facilitating news media coverage of the visit to Israel by Pope Paul VI, scheduled for January 5, were announced here today by the Government press office. Israel is arranging to fly films and other pictures of the event from designated points in this country along the pontiff’s itinerary, as well as special flights from Lydda Airport to European news centers. There will also be special photo-telegraph facilities, stepped-up telegraph, and Telex services, and booths for radio and television broadcasts.
