Max Fisher of Detroit told reporters here that “President Nixon was a great friend of Israel during his first term and will remain a great friend of Israel during his second term.” Fisher, immediate past president of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds and a personal friend of Nixon, said he did not “envisage any changes in American foreign policy toward Israel.” Fisher arrived here several days ago for a week’s visit.
