Attorney General Gideon Hausner is expected to complete his rebuttal tomorrow, in response to the Adolf Eichmann appeal being heard by a five-man panel of the Israel Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice Yitzhak Olshan.
Mr. Hausner opened his rebuttal on Friday, after conclusion of the appeal by Dr. Robert Servatius, of Cologne, counsel for the Gestapo colonel sentenced last December to hanging for directing the annihilation of 6, 000,000 European Jews during World War II.
Following Dr. Hausner, Dr. Servatius will, under the rules of the court, have an opportunity to present some closing remarks. The court, it is believed, will take at least a month to render its decision regarding the appeal.
Meanwhile, today, a spokesman for the Israel Commissioner of Prisons denied reports that Eichmann is suffering from serious and frequent heart attacks. According to the spokesman, Eichmann had, of late, complained of “dizziness. “
