The projected Israel bond drive in Canada will be launched sometime next month, it was reported here today. Samuel Bronfman, head of the Canadian Jewish Congress, and Edward E. Gelber, chairman of the United Zionist Council of Canada, have been named joint chairman of the Canada-Israel Securities Limited, which will float the bond issue in the Dominion.
The decision to launch the sales campaign was taken recently at a National Conference for Israel and Jewish Rehabilitation held in Montreal under the sponsorship of the Canadian Jewish Congress. United Zionist Council, Canadian Committee of Federations and Canadian lodges of B’nai B’rith.
