The Israel Bond Organization announced today that it had accepted a proposal submitted to it by Ambassador Abba Eban as the recommendation of Premier David Ben Gurion, aimed at coordinating activities of the United Jewish Appeal and the Israel Bond Organization.
Inasmuch as the United Jewish Appeal had not yet formally taken action on the proposal, no details of the proposal were made public by the bond organization. However, it is known that the proposal aims at the establishment of a national committee, which would have final authority to resolve any differences affecting the two activities and which would undertake to strengthen the efforts of both organizations to provide dollars for Israel’s economy.
