Israel has imported $2,000,000 worth of Turkish goods and has exported to Turkey only $30,000, worth of merchandise, including drugs, radios and refrigerators, it was reported by Tuvia Arazi, commercial attache of the Israel legation here. He expressed the hope that a better trade balance between the two nations would be established in the near future.
Mr. Arazi also revealed that a trade delegation from the Jewish state has been conducting commercial negotiations here for the past three weeks. As a result of the talks, Turkish businessmen have already agreed to purchase increased quantities of electrical appliances and kitchen utensils from Israel, including 100,000 hot plates.
