The Israel Cabinet today discussed the question of collaboration with the Jewish Agency in the light of a resolution adopted last week by the Zionist Actions Committee requesting a legal status for the Agency in Israel.
The Cabinet appointed a committee to negotiate with the Agency executive. It also appointed a committee to draft a citizenship bill for presentation to the Parliament. Minister of Justice Pinhas Rosen reported that he intends to introduce in Parliament a bill providing for the abolition of the death penalty.
