The Israel Cabinet discussed today the two resolutions on the Gaza and Akaba situations which the UN General Assembly adopted after midnight, but no information was released on the nature of the discussion. Premier David Ben Gurion was not present at today’s Cabinet meeting. He remained home in bed, on doctors’ orders, recuperating from pneumonia.
It is anticipated that the Foreign Ministry will issue a statement reiterating the Israel position that it will not change its stand on Gaza and insisting upon guarantees of security and freedom of navigation.
