The executive committee of the Hapoel Hamizrachi Party of Israel today decided to demand that the Cabinet establish a commission of inquiry on the police raid on the headquarters here of the world Mizrachi central committee and to insist upon a government apology for the raid.

These are the identical demands put forth at an emergency Cabinet meeting last week by the Orthodox Ministers on the Cabinet. At that time they were turned down by the majority.

The Orthodox Laborites’ action today does not carry with it a threat to quit the government over the affair. As a matter of fact, the executive committee requested Dr. Zorach Warhaftig, Deputy Minister for Religions, to withdraw the resignation he had submitted in protest against the police raid.
