Israel and Cameroon will soon resume diplomatic relations and Premier Shimon Peres will visit that country on the occasion, it was learned here Monday. According to reports, Peres is to visit Cameroon at the beginning of September. Cameroon, in west-central Africa, severed diplomatic relations with Israel after the 1973 Yom Kippur War. In recent years it has begun to move closer to Israel and has strengthened its economic ties with the Jewish State.
