Israel and Canada signed a new trade and industrial pact in Jerusalem Friday. The signatories were Minister of Commerce and Industry Haim Barlev and his Canadian counterpart, Jean Chretien who came to Israel for the purpose. The agreement is expected to expedite the development of a planned power station at Hadera capable of burning coal or oil, the construction of a railroad from Beersheba to Eilat, the manufacture of buses in Israel and joint movie ventures.
