A new warning to the Syrians against any aggression towards Israel was given today by General Zvi Tzur, Israel Chief of Staff at a graduation exercise of new Air Force pilots.
Referring to recent Syrian shooting in the Lake Tiberias area and a new attack by Syrian gunners on Israeli fishermen on the lake last Thursday, Gen. Tzur declared that Israel had no intention of serving as a scapegoat for Syria’s internal troubles.
He said also that Israel would not accept the proposition that whatever the policy of the new regime in Syria would be, that the Syrians should create chaos in the border areas.
