Production of citrus fruits in Israel in the season which just closed was 40 percent higher than last year, according to figures released today. The citrus crop this year totalled 14.5 million cases as compared to 10.3 million cases last year. Exports were higher this year, totalling 9.5 million cases, but the increased export was offset by lower prices for citrus prevailing on foreign markets.
