Israel defended its soldiers’ actions in an incident in which warning shots were fired at three journalists working for Reuters near an Israeli military post in the Gaza Strip. “Civilians are not allowed to approach Israel Defense Force outposts because of a present threat of terror activity,” said an army spokesman. The journalists said they had gotten out of their car to take a picture of an armored car when the shots were fired.
