The Israel delegation to the United Nations yesterday honored Dr. Ralph J. Bunche, former U.N. Mediator for Palestine and winner of the 1950 Nobel Prize for his work in Palestine, at a luncheon here.
Israel Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett was host to the 30-odd guests. Among the guests were the representatives of the nations on the United Nations Special Committee on Palestine, representatives of the United States, Britain and Norway and U.N. secretary-General Trygve Lie and other top officials of the U.N. Secretariat.
Meanwhile, the U.N. Palestine Conciliation Commission met at Flushing Meadow for the first time since returning from Jerusalem last month. No details of the meeting were released.
