Official Israeli sources denied today as entirely without foundation reports widely published in London that Israel had been having secret talks with King Hussein of Jordan seeking a basis for opening of negotiations.
There have been no secret approaches or offers to Jordan, it was stated. The Israeli position was and remained that Israel was ready to discuss any subject with the Arab states at the negotiating table except the future of Jerusalem.
