Michael Comay, head of the western division of the Israel Foreign Ministry, today called at the British Foreign Office. Israeli circles here refused to comment on the purpose of his call, but the British press reported that one of the points Mr. Comay discussed was the exchange of some 200 tractors bought from a British Government project in Tanganyika by Histadrut interests. The tractors, valued at 1,000,000 pounds, proved to be defective.
