Members of the Israel delegation to the United Nations, at an all-day meeting in Washington yesterday, considered details of raising the question of Moscow’s anti-Jewish campaign, at the United Nations Genaral Assembly, it was learned here today.
The meeting, which took place under the chairmanship of Ambassador Abba Eban, head of the delegation, decided to raise the issue when the Assembly resumes its session next Tuesday. It is understood that the issue will attract central attention at the session.
The Israel delegation approached delegations of other countries at the United Nations on the matter. In the meantime, it was indicated by Israeli diplomats today that Arieh Levavi, Deputy Director General of Israel’s Foreign Office, will arrive here Monday to participate in the U. N. General Assembly. Mr. Levavi was Counsellor of the Israel Legation in Mcscow for two years.
Ambassador Eban today called on Harold Stassen, director of the Mutual Security Administration, to discuss current operations of the MSA in Israel and future developments.
