Heavy firing was directed into Israel’s part of Jerusalem this afternoon from the Old City, which is held by Jordan. Four Israelis were reported seriously injured. At an emergency meeting of the Jerusalem municipality last night it was decided to appeal to the Ministry of Defense, the security authorities and the United Nations truce machinery in Israel to take urgent steps to end the continuous Arab infiltration, with its accompanying robbery and murder, from nearby Jordan territory.
