The Israel Medical Association last night announced that it would call a strike of doctors on May 18 in protest against the Cabinet’s refusal to increase wages for physicians in government institutions.
The Cabinet has already decided that if the strike is called the government will act under the emergency regulations to mobilize the necessary manpower to meet the country’s medical needs.
