Three young men described by Israeli officials as “beatniks” arrived here from Turkey today with an announcement they had no means or money for self-support and wanted to remain in Israel.
The three men, an American, Dutch and Dane, were ordered to stay aboard while their respective consuls were asked whether they would guarantee the return of the three to their countries. When the consuls indicated they would not give such guarantees, the three men were ordered returned on the same boat, though they had no return tickets.
