The second phase of the Gaza talks designed to end tension along the Israel-Egyptian border was completed at today’s meeting of delegates of the two states under the chairmanship of Maj. Gen. E. L. M. Burns, United Nations truce chief.
The meeting will be continued tomorrow, the sixth day in three weeks, at Kilometer 95, a point on the Gaza strip frontier where Israelis and Egyptians meet to discuss armistice commission violations as well as for these latest talks, The parties met for two successive days two weeks ago, for two more days last week and then recessed until today so that the delegations could discuss questions raised at the talks with their respective governments.
