Israel expects to do a $20,000,000 business with Canada before the end of 1948, an Israeli purchasing commission spokesman said today.
The spokesman revealed that export licenses for 88,000,000 cigarettes, 16,000 cases of condensed milk and other products have already been obtained. The Israeli representative disclosed that the Jewish state hopes to arrange barter I agreements with Canada, with Israel supplying the Dominion with potash and citrus products.
A $150,000 shipment of clothing and food has been sent this week to the people of Israel, it was announced here today by the Zionist Organization of Canada.
