Israel extended a closure on the West Bank and Gaza Strip amid fears terrorists could strike a basketball tournament. The closure was imposed after Israel assassinated Hamas founder Sheik Ahmed Yassin last month, and was meant to have been lifted following Independence Day this week. But it was extended by four days to cover the Final Four European basketball tournament being held in Tel Aviv, police sources said Wednesday.
