Israel Fashion Week, a display organized jointly by the Israel Export Institute and the Anglo-Israel Chamber of Commerce, was opened here last night, drawing an audience of prominent personalities to the event at the Mayfair Hotel Theater. Among those participating in the opening ceremonies were Israel’s envoy to London, Ambassador Aharon Remez; Dr. Alec Lerner, chairman of the Anglo-Israel Chamber of Commerce, and leading commercial representatives from Britain and the Continent.
On display, which will continue all this week, are beachwear and sportswear for men and women. informal summer dresses, rainwear, evening clothes and infant wear, all in traditional Israeli fabrics or in leather.
