The Israel Government today submitted to the Parliament a 198,500,000 -pound budget for the fiscal year ending March, 1952.
The budget includes 35,000,000 pounds for the security program as compared with the 15,000,000 pounds last year. It is the largest budget since the establishment of the Jewish State. The development portion of the budget calls for an expenditure of 85,000,000 pounds, of which 30,000,000 pounds will be allocated from funds realized through the sale of bonds in the United States and 18,000,000 pounds from the recent American grant-in-aid.
