The Israel Government submitted to Parliament today a draft bill providing for the payment of 900,000 pounds in compensation to immigrants to Israel for baggage and personal effects which they lost in Italian ports when World War II broke out. The government has already negotiated an agreement with Italy under which the Italian Government will pay Israel the equivalent of 900,000 pounds provided the Israel Government settles all claims of its citizens.
