Israel’s cost of living rose 1.3 percent in March, in a further indication that inflation this year will be higher than it was in 1992.
The March increase was slightly higher than February’s 1.2 percent rise and the same as the January figure, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics.
If the trend of this first quarter continues throughout the year, the 1993 inflation rate will hit 16 percent, the bureau forecast.
