Israel is not considering a military strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities for now, the Israeli defense minister said. In an interview in the current issue of Newsweek, Shaul Mofaz said Israel hopes the threat of U.N. sanctions will compel Iran to abandon its quest for nuclear weapons. “A military option is not on the agenda today,” Mofaz told the magazine.
