Pupils in 32 schools in Tel Aviv received today the first television broadcast of local origin — a lesson in mathematics. The schools were chosen for the experimental project for educational television transmitted by a station financed by the Rothschild family.

The Israel Government decided last summer to establish general television for Israelis by the end of 1967.
