The Israeli Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced today it was lifting import restrictions on products of Hitachi, the huge Japanese electronics firm, after the latter announced it would defy the Arab economic boycott and do business with Israel. Hitachi makes transistor radios, television apparatus and a wide range of other electronic products.
