The Israel Government has made its fourth approach to the Czechoslovak Government on the case of Mordechai Oren, Israeli Mapam leader, arrested in Prague last December. Dr. Arieh Kubovi, Israeli Minister to Prague, called on the Czechoslovak Deputy Foreign Minister last week and handed him a note requesting permission for an Israeli representative to see Oren, it was revealed here last night.

An Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman expressed surprise at a statement by the Czechoslovak authorities that they were still unable to give “fuller details” of offenses allegedly committed by the Mapam leader, in view of the fact that he had been detained for nearly half-a-year.
