Israel Matz, vice-president of the Gan Chaim Corporation, confirmed the report of Sir Alfred’s purchase at the office of the Ex-Lax Manufacturing Company, of which he is the president. Mr. Matz stated that the action of Sir Alfred, who had an opportunity to investigate the prospects of the company on the spot, was an endorsement of the project. He stated that the endorsement of a man of Sir Alfred’s business acumen should lead American business men to emulate him, thus contributing to the development of industry in Palestine.
