Israel may trade terrorists held in Europe for missing air force navigator Ron Arad, Israel’s prime minister said. Arad’s family fears that the airman, who disappeared after being shot down over Lebanon in 1986, could be left out of a deal currently under discussion with Hezbollah. Seeking to mollify the concerns, Ariel Sharon said in a television interview, “We have additional bargaining chips…not here but in a country in Europe.”
